A global Accounting firm based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated Senior VAT/Tax Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with at least three years of experience in VAT related work who is eager to deepen their expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will provide guidance and advice to clients on all aspects of Value Added Tax and lead and mentor the VAT team. You should also have a minimum of 3 years experience in Tax and have a history of leading engagements and managing complex client portfolios. • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of VAT, including compliance, registration, VAT returns and the treatment of VAT on transactions.
• Take a leadership role in overseeing and managing VAT related tasks.
• Analyse clients financial data to ensure compliance with VAT regulations and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor changes in VAT legislation and communicate their impact to clients.
• Provide training to clients and colleagues on VAT regulations and procedures.
• Review and manage VAT returns and ensure timely submission to authorities.
• Respond to VAT related queries from clients and authorities.
• Assist in resolution of VAT disputes and represent clients in VAT related audits.
• Conduct reviews of client VAT related processes and identify areas for improvement.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Minimum 3 year’s advanced experience in VAT compliance and/or advisory services with a history of leading engagements and managing complex client portfolios.
• In depth knowledge of VAT regulations and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Qualified Accountant (bachelors degree or ACCA)
• Professional certification in VAT or Tax highly advantageous
