We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections.Position Summary:The Hall Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all facets of accommodation in Centre; this includes allocation (to regulatory standards of Welfare), damage inspections/reporting and accurate record keeping of occupants.Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students under your care and those you interact with.
- Inspire, manage, and lead a team committed to students' development and welfare.
- Ensure the correct implementation and subsequent follow ups of the Welfare and Health & Safety systems under guidance from the Centre Manager and Head Office.
- Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Create the allocation spreadsheet, allocating students by maximizing the occupancy, and keeping the file up to date.
- Maintain & submit weekly records of meal provisions, room allocations, occupancy and accounting for your Centre.
- Ensure that standards of cleanliness are kept up by the accommodation provider, reporting any maintenance issues to the staff.
- Undertake regular inspections of all rooms and to ensure damage is kept to a minimum and reported to the Centre Manager and Group Leaders when found.
- Deal with any complaints or problems relating to accommodation from students, Group Leaders, parents and agents.
- Oversee the care and supervise of individual students (those not part of group).
- Ensure all students' dietary, medical, religious, and cultural needs are met.
- Update notice boards in the Centre.
- Assist with student arrival and departures at Centre as needed and requested by the Centre Manager.
- Support other managers and carry out other operational/campus duties as assigned or requested by the Centre Manager.
- Degree-level education or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
- Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary courses upon successful selection).
- Proven experience in roles involving logistics, organization, or travel.
- Office/administration experience.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Outlook and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Previous experience working with juniors.
- Experience managing a summer school environment.
- Knowledge of Malta.
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and manage challenging situations.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Uphold appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
- Positive attitude toward maintaining authority and discipline.
- High attention to detail.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of any other languages is considered advantageous).
- Must be eligible to work in the EU.
- Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
- All CV gaps must be satisfactorily explained.
- Proof of identity and qualifications (if applicable) required.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and references must be provided before signing the contract.
- 6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week). Maximum weekly hours will be detailed in the Offer Letter.
- All management roles are residential.
