Job Description

To perform routine and preventive maintenance on the building services equipment to ensure smooth operation of the company and reach departmental goals.TASKS:

To ensure immediate attention to all equipment breakdowns ensuring minimum line down time and optimal yield and line efficiency.
To constantly make electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections, and minor repairs to identify potential faults, thus initiating corrective action to ensure minimum line down time.
To perform repairs and preventative maintenance on ancillary equipment.
To install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild as necessary.
To ensure that all required information is logged / recorded and analyzed, and that relevant preventive action is taken to avoid/minimize downtime.
To ensure that the Workshop, Boiler Room, Compressor Room, Electrical Rooms and Refrigeration Room are kept in clean and organized order (a good housekeeping mentality must be fostered).
To carry out jobs work according to health and safety regulations.
To ensure that all plant equipment is maintained to health and safety standards.
To ensure that the department vehicle is kept in good working order and clean. To inform Transport Executive in case of any vehicle defects/damages.
To constantly monitor all site and plant equipment to predict potential faults, thus initiating corrective action to ensure minimum down time of service.
Switching off of any unused equipment and monitors equipment schedules through Building Management Systems.

AUTHORITY

To stop/switch off any equipment in case of any hazard to personnel, machine damage and risk of product quality.
2. To recommend initiatives that will improve safety, yields and efficiency.

ACCOUNTABILITY

To ensure that all work is done at the optimum with respect to price and quality.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

In possession of electrical License A and B.
Knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing/mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of security and safety systems.
Be smart, highly motivated and can work on his/her initiative.
Has good written and verbal skills in both English and Maltese.
Be computer literate with knowledge of MS Office.
To be trained & qualified to certify Scaffolding.
