Job Description

Our Client is a reputable and very busy building contractor undertaking a range of turnkey projects throughout the island.Due to continued expansion, a Procurement Officer is required to source, purchase and coordinate materials. This role will work alongside the Procurement Manager to ensure materials are sourced timely and delivered to project sites timely as per project requirements.Responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and communicating with suppliers to obtain quotes for materials, equipment, and services.
• Issuing and tracking all purchase orders
• Communicating with suppliers for availability, delivery and order accuracy
• Coordinating with Project Managers to ensure procurement is timely as per project requirement
• Assisting the Procurement Manager with vendor performance evaluation and maintaining approved supplier lists.
• Maintaining precise procurement documentation
• Following up on deliveries, managing discrepancies, and helping to resolve any issues in supply chain
• Updating procurement details and inventory tracking and reporting.

Talent will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years' procurement / purchasing experience, preferably in a technical or construction sector
• Be familiar with construction tools, materials and suppliers
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of procurement processes
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office and preferably have some experience with ERP systems
