- Ensure smooth operation of all works carried out.
- Adjust tasks and schedules based on priorities and instruct best work practices.
- Plan and coordinate in-house and outsourced works with timelines and execution.
- Prepare and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Monitor daily maintenance software entries vs. jobs completed to track staff productivity.
- Investigate maintenance issues first hand and propose solutions with superiors.
- Support technicians on specific jobs when needed.
- Inspect facilities periodically to detect problems and maintenance needs.
- Inspect and maintain building systems (e.g., HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation).
- Supervise contractors and tradespeople during installations, repairs, or maintenance.
- Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget.
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Sign purchase orders and invoices for requested materials.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in outsourced works and material procurement.
- Enforce adherence to quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Recruit, train and supervise maintenance technicians.
- Participate in coordination and execution of projects (e.g., renovations).
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce costs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Higher Technical Diploma (HTD) or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
- Electrical Licence A or B is an asset.
- Familiarity with modern HVAC and ELV systems.
- Highly motivated, pragmatic, and hands-on approach to work.
