Product ManagerRole OverviewAs a Product Manager – Core Platform, you will be responsible for owning the product strategy, and roadmap for the foundational services that power our gambling ecosystem. These include core capabilities such as account management, safer gambling tools, wallet, platform rules, logging/auditing and service integrations. This role is critical to ensuring the scalability, reliability, and extensibility of our platform across global markets.You will work closely with engineering, architecture, compliance, and business teams to deliver platform services that are secure, compliant, and performant, while enabling product teams to build efficiently on top of our technology foundation.This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. You and your manager will agree on the best working pattern that suits both of you. We’ll kit you out to work remotely, but we know that collaboration is key to our success, and spending quality time together helps us stay aligned with our mission.What you'll do:- Core Platform Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and long-term roadmap for Core Platform capabilities.
- Requirements Gathering:
- Partner with internal product teams, architects, and compliance teams to capture non-functional requirements (NFRs) around scalability, availability, latency, and data privacy.
- Gather functional requirements to support features and partner integrations.
- Feature Definition:
- Develop platform-wide features that impact internal users and other product teams.
- Document scalable interface contracts for cross-team usage.
- Integration Enablement:
- Define interfaces and frameworks that support third-party integrations, external APIs, and partner platform compatibility, with attention to versioning, resilience, and backward compatibility.
- Project Delivery:
- Lead the delivery of high-impact initiatives across platform domains, aligning with security, operations, and architecture teams to ensure robust and future-proof delivery.
- Platform Performance & Observability:
- Define KPIs such as platform uptime, latency, configuration accuracy, incident response times, and deployment velocity to track Core Platform health.
- Promote platform observability through logging, auditing, and monitoring standards.
- Customer Advocacy:
- Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs throughout the product development process and
- Driving continuous improvement based on customer feedback.
- Performance Monitoring
- Monitor key performance indicators (OKRs and KPIs) to track product success, iterate on features based on user feedback, and
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Lead:
- Provide leadership and direction where necessary; Supervise, train and guide team members.
- Inspire and motivate team members while also providing effective feedback.
- Data Analysis:
- Utilize data analytics and user research to measure product performance,
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Inform product strategy and prioritize feature development.
- 3+ years of Product Management experience
- Deep understanding of Player Account Management in Gambling Industry.
- Experience with designing or managing
- Proven experience translating technical system capabilities into business value propositions and product roadmaps.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservice architecture, including service discovery and API gateway management
- Experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs and service contract design (e.g. OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Understanding of cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerisation (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, message queues (e.g., Kafka), and event sourcing patterns.
- Exposure to feature flag frameworks, platform configuration stores, and rules engines
- Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana), auditing standards, and infrastructure metrics.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms and cloud-first infrastructure.
- Experience collaborating with architecture and engineering leadership in a technical domain.
- Proficiency in using Atlassian tools (especially JIRA and Confluence).
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and effective backlog management.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with enterprise-level platform engineering teams or technical platform product ownership.
- Agile experience or other scaled agile delivery frameworks.
- Certifications: Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or Certified Scrum Product Manager.
- Technically curious and platform-oriented mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Analytical and structured thinking with strong product reasoning.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, especially when dealing with abstract or low-UI products.
- Comfortable operating across high-level strategic discussions and low-level platform nuances.
