Our client is a premier construction and development firm based in Malta, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the construction industry. With a rich history spanning several decades, the company has established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.A tendering professional with strong team management ability is now required to join the company and take responsibility for preparing precise estimates and comprehensive pre-bid packages for construction projects, including finishes as needed. This role involves analyzing actual project costs and labour productivity to ensure efficiency and accuracy.Responsibilities:

• Review and assess all tender documents upon receipt to determine the scope of work.
• Develop and deliver engaging tender presentations.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and insights.
• Submit tender-related queries to clarify project requirements.
• Prepare pre-qualification documents and bid submissions.
• Measure and compile Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for Lump Sum bids.
• Accurately estimate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for construction projects.
• Assist in creating method statements, work schedules, and other necessary tender documentation.
• Identify project risks and opportunities to enhance bid competitiveness.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Stay informed about local market trends and pricing.
• Ensure timely submission of all relevant documents and financial offers before bid deadlines.
• Analyse actual costs from completed projects and maintain a library of cost and labour productivity data.
• Perform additional estimation and quantity surveying tasks as required.

Talent will:

• Possess a Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
• Demonstrate 7+ years of experience as an estimator, quantity surveyor or tendering professional within the construction sector
• Have experience of managing small teams
• Be an excellent collaborator and communicator with strong time management capabilities.
• Have experience with e-tender submissions
