Our Client is a prestigious multi disciplinary consultancy offering a range of design, cost and project management services to high profile clients both locally and internationally.Due to continued project awards and expansion, a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor is required to join the busy commercial team based in central Malta.Responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP works as per project designs and specifications.
• Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of supplier bids, and negotiation of contracts for MEP services and materials.
• Developing and maintaining accurate complete and accurate BoQ's for MEP components
• Managing and administering contracts, tracking variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Monitoring budgets and expenditures; providing cost reports and forecasts for financial outcomes.
• Conducting interim valuations and processing contractor payment applications
• Identifying potential cost risks and suggesting actions to manage and mitigate them.
• Managing cost implications of project changes
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts for services, reconciling all costs at the end of the project.
• Working closely with all stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Preparing recommendations for Clients' approval

Talent will:

• Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Preferably hold a professional membership
• Demonstrate at 5 years+ experience as a QS on building services projects (preferably large scale hospitality, commercial and/or industrial)
• Be proficient with cost estimation software and preferably be familiar with BIM processes
• Have a valid driving license
• Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Be assertive and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Be capable of handling several projects simultaneously
