Legal Counsel – Expanding global fintech

This Legal Counsel will join a serious technology company with presence across the globe and currently making big waves in the fintech area. Due to this growth, and Malta being chosen as a strategic location for their investment in fintech, they are looking to expand its global legal department and offering career development opportunities in a booming sector.You will form part of a global team consisting of senior tech and fintech lawyers which will provide you with interesting exposure and learning and development opportunities. The exposure will be broad and varied, offering unique local exposure into product counselling, regulatory advisory and commercial focus into contracts, agreements and negotiations meaning no days are the same and serious impact on business development.If you are passionate or interested in the fintech world, and looking to join a serious player on a global scale, putting you on a career path to make impact across the world, look no further than being the Legal Counsel of this company and make a serious difference in their business expansion.You will:

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements;
• Collaborate with technology and marketing teams ensuring product functionality and advise on product;
• Research and provide regulatory advice ensuring safeguarding of the company’s operations;
• Provide further support to the global legal team on a variety of projects.

Experience:

• Warranted Advocate in Malta
• 2+ years PQE, both in-house and private practice background will be considered
• Experience with regulated industries is favorably considered (Banking, Payments, EMI, iGaming)

Salary / Remuneration: EUR 45,000 – 55,000 DOEBenefits:

• Hybrid working model (3 days in, 2 from home)
• More benefits will be rolled out from 2026
