Job DescriptionOur client, operating in beverage manufacturing including wine, is currently seeking to recruit a Wine Sales Specialist to join their team. The chosen candidate will report to the Head of Sales.Key Responsibilities:

• Actively engaging with customers and offering friendly and knowledgeable recommendations based on taste, food pairings and budget.
• Building relationships with both new and regular customers, fostering trust and loyalty through outstanding service.
• Educating customers on DOK, IGT, Wines of Malta and grape varietals, vintages and trends in an approachable and engaging manner.
• Upselling and cross-selling wines, including higher-end selections, accessories and related items.
• Supporting departmental goals by achieving sales targets and promoting featured or seasonal products.
• Maintaining attractive and organized wine displays that reflect the company's visual and brand standards in hotel dining rooms and restaurants for special occasions.
• Assisting with seasonal resets, special features and promotional displays to drive customer interest.
• Staying up to date on current wine trends and industry developments.
• Participating in tastings, trainings, and visits to continuously enhance knowledge.
• Sharing product insights with team members to elevate overall winery expertise.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• WSET Level 3 Diploma would be an asset.
• Basic understanding of wine regions, varietals and pairings - formal training or certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in wine sales, hospitality or customer service is preferred, especially within the HORECA industry.
• Professional demeanour and ability to engage customers of all experience levels.
• Strong passion for wine and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with customers.
