Job DescriptionOur client, a leading financial institution in Malta, part of a diversified international group, and committed to delivering personalised banking solutions across our network of retail branches. They are now seeking an experienced Head of IT Operations to lead the management of our IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient IT services that support our business and regulatory needs.Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of IT in implementing the Bank's IT Strategy.
• Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap.
• Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures for smooth IT operations.
• Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and data centres.
• Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage IT operations and infrastructure budgets efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal IT requirements.
• Collaborate with departments including InfoSec, Risk, Compliance, and Business Units.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT operations and infrastructure professionals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in IT operations and infrastructure management, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, databases, and cloud/data centre infrastructure.
• Experience developing and implementing IT policies to improve efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving aptitude with ability to address IT challenges promptly.
• Collaborative approach across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Project management experience with system implementations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 platform desirable.
• Agile practitioner experience (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and familiarity with tools such as JIRA highly desirable.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure with relevant certifications is highly desirable.
