Our client, a Financial Institution, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their team, reporting directly to the Head of Operations Projects (HOO). This role plays a pivotal part in the analysis and delivery of technical projects across both internal and external operational systems.Ideal for a proactive professional with a strong analytical mindset, this position suits individuals who are passionate about business and technology and committed to delivering high-quality results. • Support the HOO in managing full-cycle operational projects, from initial requirements gathering through to post-deployment support, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and operational stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate requirements, promoting strategic alignment and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in planning and executing change management initiatives, including communications, training, and monitoring of adoption.
• Facilitate user training and develop user-friendly support materials, such as guides and manuals, to ensure successful implementation of new systems and processes.
• Perform detailed analyses of existing business processes to uncover inefficiencies and automation opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
• Monitor changes introduced by third-party service providers, conduct impact assessments, and communicate implications clearly to stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison with third-party service providers, managing expectations and maintaining high service quality standards.
• Create and maintain system design documentation, including data flow diagrams, wireframes, and UI/UX prototypes to support development efforts.
• Work closely with development teams to convert business requirements into scalable and feasible technical specifications.
• Track project milestones, manage timelines, and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Design and execute functional test cases to ensure solutions meet business requirements and maintain system integrity.
• Keep documentation up to date and version-controlled, covering all business processes, requirements, workflows, and configurations.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to proactively suggest improvements to systems and operations.
• Provide structured and timely updates to the HOO.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the HOO.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business & Computing, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to cross-functional work
• Effective time management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Practical experience using APIs and SQL

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
• Familiarity with Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards, and lending products
• Experience using project management and tracking tools such as JIRA
• General accounting knowledge
