Job Title: Multi-Cuisine Chef

Location: Malta

Department: Culinary / Food & Beverage

Reports To: Head Chef / F&B Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Multi-Cuisine Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in preparing and presenting dishes from a range of international cuisines, delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, menu development skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook multi-cuisine dishes with authenticity and creativity.
  • Design and develop menus that showcase both traditional and innovative recipes.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
  • Supervise and collaborate with kitchen staff to achieve smooth daily operations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, food costs, and wastage control effectively.
  • Support event catering, banquets, and special functions with tailored menus.
  • Implement and follow health, safety, and HACCP standards across the kitchen.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and introduce innovative dining experiences.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chef, preferably in a 4/5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Proven ability to prepare authentic dishes from at least three international cuisines.
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in modern cooking techniques and equipment.
  • Creative flair in menu design, presentation, and flavour innovation.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team leadership and collaboration.
  • Multilingual abilities, including proficiency in English, are an advantage.
  • Experience in catering to diverse dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to work in a high-temperature kitchen and stand for extended periods.
