We are currently looking for a Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in maintaining our high standards of excellence and creativity in event catering. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the planning and execution of menus for functions and large-scale events • Oversee kitchen operations and manage the culinary team in the absence of the Head Chef • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety • Support in inventory control and supplier coordination • Train and motivate junior kitchen staff Requirements: • Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role, ideally in high-volume or event catering • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple functions simultaneously • Passion for food innovation and presentation About Us The Xara Collection: Forming part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux, The Xara Palace is a unique Boutique Hotel hidden away in the heart of the Medieval fortified City, of Mdina, and is a definition of Architectural Style and Culture.
