Group Head of Legal – International transactional

• Head up a small team
• Close collaboration with C-levels
• Large cross-border projects

This Group Head of Legal will head up a small legal department in Malta forming part of an international group. Due to the size of the group and their current business needs, they are bringing in an experienced corporate & commercial lawyer with strong development prospects.In this role, you will manage a small team and support your juniors on an ongoing basis, contributing to your leadership capabilities. Additionally, you will be supporting the C-suite, ongoingly advising on risk mitigation, business interests and be hands-on in larger group projects encompassing cross-border elements offering sought-after exposure which you cannot find many places.If you are an experienced in-house lawyer with expertise across corporate & commercial transactional, if you are eager to step up into a leadership opportunity this is the chance for you.You will:

• Lead and oversee the legal function;
• Advise leadership on legal and risk to support safeguarding of the business;
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contract, often complex and of an international nature;
• Be involved in acquisitions and restructurings, often cross-border and coordinate the involved parties.

Experience:

• Qualified lawyer in Malta
• 5+ years PQE, with expertise in corporate & commercial law
• Experience in a previous in-house role will be desired

Salary / Remuneration: EUR 80,000 – 90,000 DOEBenefits:
