Job Description Our client is an established organisation operating within the maritime sector, with international activities and exposure to multiple currencies and markets. The business manages a complex operational and financial environment, requiring strong financial oversight and continuous improvement to support growth and efficiency. We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to strengthen financial operations and drive efficiencies across the business. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation, with a particular focus on foreign exchange management, operational efficiencies, and systems optimisation. This role is ideal for someone transitioning from banking or financial services who brings strong exposure to forex trading and a passion for process improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Manage and optimise multi-currency cash flows and foreign exchange exposure Develop and implement forex strategies to mitigate currency risks Partner with operations to improve financial visibility across the company's operational cycle Drive process improvements and automation through effective use of financial systems and technologies Lead month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Provide strategic insights to support business growth and operational efficiency Requirements Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting, Finance, or related field ACCA qualified or in the final stages of qualification Background in banking, financial services, or treasury is highly preferred Strong experience in foreign exchange trading and multi-currency environments Proven track record in process improvement and systems implementation Advanced knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and data tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment What We Offer Opportunity to work in a unique and growing industry Exposure to international markets and complex financial structures A role with real impact on operational and financial performance Misco
