Job Description

Our client is seeking to recruit for a Finance Officer with a focus on credit control. You will report into the Head of Finance. Duties include: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments; maintain accurate customer account records and track overdue invoices Contact clients regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment plans when necessary. Resolve billing discrepancies and provide support to customers on invoicing queries. Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts and prepare reports on credit control activities, aged debts, and cash flow forecasts Collaborate with the finance team to improve credit control processes and reduce bad debts. Ensure compliance with company policies and Maltese accounting regulations. Provide essential accounting and clerical support to the Accounting department, including entering sales and purchase invoices, inventory movements, and general ledger entries. Reconcile customer accounts and deposits to ensure accurate financial records. Assist in preparing documentation and reconciliations for annual audits and support month- end and year-end reporting. Ad Hoc Duties: Support the Head of Finance with various ad hoc tasks as required. Requirements Minimum 1-2 years in finance and/or credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role Local experience is required Fluency in Maltese and English is required Understanding of credit control principles, invoicing, and Maltese financial regulations Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills Education and Experience Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Job Reference: KG676 Category Accounting Job type Full Time Employment level Intermediate (1-3 years) Work Location On Premises Employer industry Manufacturing Jobs within accounts require the understanding and managing of finances for individuals and organisations.
