STEEL FIXER FULL-TIME If you are passionate about steel fixing and have the skills required for this role, we are seeking a skilled and experienced candidates to join our team. Key responsibilities The Steel Fixer ensures that the correct thickness and sizes of steel are selected according to the work programme prepared by his supervisor. He ensures that the steel is bent using the bending machines according to the foreman's instructions. He ensures that the steel is tied according to trade practices and as per the plans. He ensures that the steel material is transported to the work site. He ensures that when gas cutting works are being carried out, protective equipment is worn, including goggles, boots, gloves, and special overalls for hot work. He ensures that when steel material is being transported from one place to another, gloves are worn for protection, as well as a safety helmet. The Steel Fixer ensures that when pouring concrete, it is done according to proper workmanship standards. He takes care to keep the work site clean from excess material and other waste for health and hygiene purposes. The Steel Fixer ensures that while working on site, he continuously wears protective equipment, including safety boots, protective gloves, and a safety helmet. Requirements Proven experience as a steel fixer in the construction industry will be considered as an asset. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and precision. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
