BettingJobs is partnering with an established online gaming operator to appoint a Poker Room Manager based in Malta. This is a strategically focused yet hands-on role that exists to provide dedicated ownership of a live online poker ecosystem across liquidity, ecology, tournaments, promotions and overall room performance. Reporting to the Head of Poker, you will balance long-term liquidity health, player experience and revenue performance. You are an experienced online poker operator with deep knowledge of modern poker room management, liquidity dynamics, player ecology and tournament strategy. You are proactive rather than reactive, analytically rigorous and commercially aware, comfortable challenging assumptions constructively and forming high-conviction, evidence-backed recommendations. You thrive on continuously improving a poker product rather than simply maintaining it, and you are equally happy operating strategically or rolling up your sleeves when the room needs it. Responsibilities: Support the ongoing evolution and modernisation of the network poker offering across cash games, tournaments, promotions and liquidity initiatives. Take active ownership of overall room health, player ecology, liquidity quality and long-term game sustainability. Manage and optimise network liquidity across formats, stakes, regions and player segments, supporting ringfencing and segmentation strategies where appropriate. Evaluate and optimise rake structures, game offerings, tournament formats and scheduling approaches. Own the strategic direction of tournament schedules, major series and promotional tournament initiatives, designing structures, guarantees and mechanics that maximise engagement. Monitor tournament performance, overlays, participation trends and series effectiveness, refining the offering based on data and market conditions. Conduct ongoing room analysis across liquidity, promotions, tournaments, player segmentation and revenue performance, translating findings into actionable recommendations. Establish clear measurement frameworks for major changes and distinguish meaningful performance signals from short-term variance. Work closely with Poker Operations, Commercial, BI and CRM stakeholders to ensure alignment and informed decision-making. Directly configure, manage and monitor poker room setups, tournaments and promotional implementations, supporting execution during key series and high-impact changes. Requirements: Significant experience within online poker operations, poker room management, tournament management or network-level poker environments. Strong understanding of modern poker ecology, liquidity management, player behaviour, game sustainability and tournament strategy. Proven experience analysing poker room performance and translating insights into operational or commercial improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail. Experience working with complex poker ecosystems involving multiple stakeholder groups, markets or liquidity pools. Deep familiarity with tournament structures, promotional mechanics and player behaviour. Ability to balance player experience, liquidity health and commercial performance in decision-making. Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on when required. Strong communication and reasoning skills, particularly when presenting recommendations or operational arguments.
