Job Description : Our Client, Malta’s leading hospitality and leisure group, is strengthening its Kitchen Team across its portfolio of hotels and leisure properties. Working within a fast-paced, multi-venue hospitality environment, successful candidates will play a key role in delivering consistent food quality, operational efficiency, and excellent guest experiences across restaurants, hotels, and leisure venues. Active Roles We are currently recruiting for the following positions: Steward Chief Steward Demi Chef De Partie Chef De Partie Senior Chef De Partie Junior Sous Chef Sous Chef Head Chef Applicants may apply for a specific role or be considered for alternative positions based on experience, skills, and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Depending on the assigned role, responsibilities may include: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety within kitchen and back-of-house areas Assisting in food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and standards Supervising and coordinating kitchen sections or stewarding teams, where applicable Ensuring correct storage, labelling, and rotation of food items in line with HACCP standards Supporting senior kitchen leadership in daily operations, service execution, and team supervision Managing workload efficiently during busy service periods Ensuring kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations are properly maintained Contributing to menu execution, consistency, and quality control (for senior roles) Training and mentoring junior team members, where applicable Working closely with front-of-house and other departments to ensure smooth service delivery Requirements Previous experience in a professional kitchen or stewarding environment (level dependent on role) A genuine passion for food, cleanliness, and hospitality service A strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and operational discipline The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays A good working knowledge of English Experience within hotels, high-volume restaurants, or catering operations in Malta will be considered a strong advantage. Licenses & Qualifications The following will be considered an asset, depending on the role: Food Handling Certificate (as per Maltese regulations) HACCP training or certification Culinary qualifications or professional kitchen training Experience working within HACCP-compliant kitchens Leadership or supervisory training (for senior positions) Please be advised that this offer is for a position based in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all associated relocation costs, including but not limited to airfare, accommodation, and living expenses.
