Our client, a leading company within the ship repair and industrial sector, is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join its team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all ship repair, refit, maintenance, and production activities are carried out in accordance with quality standards, customer requirements, classification society rules, and applicable regulations. Working closely with Project Managers, Production teams, Technical Departments, and HSE personnel, the Quality Engineer will support quality assurance initiatives, conduct inspections, manage non-conformities, and contribute to continuous improvement across shipyard operations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Perform inspections and quality control activities throughout the execution of ship repair and refit projects. Monitor fabrication, mechanical, piping, electrical, coating, and other production activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and technical specifications. Participate in internal and external audits involving clients, classification societies, and certification bodies. Identify, document, and manage non-conformities, ensuring effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
