Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

Our client runs construction and industrial projects across Malta and is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery. The successful candidate will work closely with the maintenance team to keep all equipment running safely and efficiently, and to diagnose and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tyre rotations Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy equipment Perform necessary repairs and replacements to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritise repairs Maintain a clean and organised work area Follow all safety procedures and protocols at all times Communicate potential issues or concerns to management promptly Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team What's on Offer: Competitive salary Employment with an established Malta-based operator The opportunity to work with a dynamic technical team Stable, full-time employment Outreach Recruitment Agency
