Job Description : Our Client, a leading company in Malta specialising in electrical, fire safety, security, and ELV solutions, is seeking to recruit an Electrical Technician / Assistant Electrical Technician to join its growing technical team. The successful candidate will support and carry out installation, servicing, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities across electrical, fire safety, security, and ELV systems. The role involves working across residential, commercial, and industrial environments and requires a practical, safety-conscious, and customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, service, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical, fire safety, security, and ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, networking, and related equipment. Assist with cable laying and termination, equipment installation, system upgrades, commissioning, and maintenance activities. Attend client sites to assess requirements, identify faults, verify equipment functionality, and assist with new installations and extensions to existing systems. Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical diagrams, manuals, and system documentation, while ensuring accurate completion of service reports and relevant documentation. Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards, company procedures, and health and safety requirements. Provide professional support to clients, assist with system handovers and user guidance, maintain a high standard of workmanship, and contribute positively to the company's professional image. Requirements Previous experience in an electrical installation, maintenance, servicing, or technical role; experience as an Electrical Technician will be considered an advantage. Good understanding of electrical systems, with previous exposure to ELV, fire detection, security, CCTV, access control, or networking systems considered highly advantageous. Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively and perform practical installation and maintenance tasks. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, technical diagrams, manuals, and installation documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, reliability, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team. Licenses & Qualifications: Relevant Electrical Technician qualification, electrical certification, or technical training. ACMU certification or relevant electrical experience will be considered an advantage. Preferably MQF Level 4 Certificate or MQF Level 5 Diploma in Electrical subjects or a related technical field. Electrical Licence A and/or an MCAST Diploma will be considered a strong asset. Additional qualifications or training in ELV, fire detection, CCTV, access control, networking, or security systems will be advantageous. For Assistant Technician level, a minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or a closely related field is preferred. Benefits Competitive salary package.
