Accounts Officer

Job Description

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and client accounts; Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions; Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documentation; Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve invoice discrepancies when required; Support the onboarding of new clients, including setting up ledger accounts and carrying out initial data entry; Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts; Support budget preparation, monitoring, and cost control activities; Monitor cash flow, expenditure, and financial forecasts; Perform bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and complete; Assist with the preparation of VAT and corporate income tax returns; Ensure accounting activities are carried out in line with applicable financial regulations and requirements; Support external audits by preparing and providing the required financial records and documentation; Continue progressing towards the completion of the relevant professional accounting qualification. Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or approximately halfway through the ACCA qualification; Around 2 years of relevant accounting experience will be considered an asset; Good understanding of basic accounting principles and relevant financial regulations; Previous experience using Xero will be considered an asset; Good knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
