Chief Steward Fresh to Go Food LTD The Chief Steward is responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of all production areas, equipment, and utensils used in the manufacturing of bread, pastry, and ice cream. The role leads the stewarding/sanitation team, ensuring the factory meets food safety standards and supports uninterrupted production. ? Supervise and schedule the stewarding/sanitation team across all shifts ? Oversee cleaning and sanitation of production lines, mixers, ovens, freezers, utensils, and equipment ? Ensure all production, storage, and processing areas meet HACCP and food safety standards ? Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, sanitising chemicals, and stewarding equipment ? Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with relevant suppliers or technicians ? Train and onboard new stewarding staff on hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures ? Conduct regular inspections and sanitation audits of production and storage areas ? Liaise with Production and Quality Assurance teams on hygiene requirements and scheduling around production runs ? Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards ? Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures on-site Qualifications ? Previous experience in a stewarding, sanitation, or food production support supervisory role ? Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards, ideally within a food manufacturing environment ? Strong leadership and team management skills ? Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and around production schedules ? Physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced factory environment, including cold storage areas Maltapark
