Job Description : Our client is an internationally respected healthcare organisation operating advanced clinical programmes focused on addiction treatment, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, emotional trauma recovery, chronic pain management, and neurodegenerative care. As the organisation continues to expand its multidisciplinary healthcare operations, we are seeking a highly organised and compliance-driven Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee and strengthen data governance, privacy standards, and regulatory compliance across all clinical and operational functions. This role offers the opportunity to work within a purpose-led healthcare environment where patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and information security are central to the delivery of exceptional care. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the organisation’s compliance with GDPR, data privacy legislation, and internal confidentiality policies Monitor the secure handling, storage, transfer, and processing of sensitive patient and employee data Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and risk evaluations across clinical and operational systems Develop, implement, and maintain data protection procedures, policies, and compliance frameworks Provide guidance and training to employees on data privacy obligations and best practices Act as the main point of contact for data protection authorities and regulatory bodies Investigate and manage data breaches, incidents, and privacy-related concerns in accordance with legal reporting requirements Support internal audits and ensure accurate documentation of compliance activities Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to strengthen information security controls Review third-party supplier agreements and data processing arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance Promote a culture of confidentiality, accountability, and ethical data handling throughout the organisation Requirements Previous experience in a Data Protection, Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Governance role Strong working knowledge of GDPR and healthcare-related data privacy obligations Experience handling confidential or highly sensitive information within regulated environments Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance matters clearly High levels of discretion, integrity, and professional judgement Experience conducting internal audits, policy reviews, and compliance reporting will be considered an asset Confidence working collaboratively with senior management and multidisciplinary teams Excellent command of English, both written and spoken Licenses & Qualifications: The following qualifications and certifications will be considered an asset: Degree in Law, Information Security, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field Professional certification in Data Protection or Privacy Management (such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent) Formal GDPR training or compliance certification Previous experience within healthcare, rehabilitation, clinical, or regulated care environments Knowledge of information security standards and risk management frameworks Benefits Opportunity to join a leading international clinical organisation with a meaningful social impact Professional development and specialised compliance training opportunities Collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary working environment Competitive remuneration package based on experience and qualifications Exposure to international healthcare compliance standards and best practices Employee wellness, assistance initiatives and Flexible hours The Latino Agent
