Health and Safety Officer

Job Description

We are hiring a Health and Safety Officer Key Responsibilities Be present on site daily as the designated Health & Safety Officer. Conduct safety inductions for all workers and subcontractors before they begin work. Ensure compliance with site safety rules, including PPE use, sign-in procedures, housekeeping, and safe working practices. Monitor site activities to ensure they follow the Health & Safety Plan and risk assessments. Check and maintain Health & Safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and PPE supplies. Ensure safety signage, emergency exits, and assembly points are properly maintained. Record incidents, near misses, and daily safety observations, keeping accurate site records. Report hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues to the Health & Safety Consultant. Work closely with the Site Manager to address and rectify any safety concerns or non-compliance issues. What We're Looking For A qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field is preferred. A good command of the English language. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude with good organisational and communication skills.
