Job Description

Workplace Type: hybrid Job Description: Key Responsibilities Assist in the maintenance, monitoring, and support of network infrastructure Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues Support firewall and VPN configuration and maintenance Document network configurations, incidents, and system changes Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when necessary Assist with routine network maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities Requirements Education Diploma in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience through internships, home labs, self-study, or practical projects Technical Skills Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking Knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting Understanding of DNS and DHCP Familiarity with routers, switches, and firewalls Ability to use troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, and ipconfig Understanding of VLANs and basic network segmentation Nice to Have Experience with Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, or similar lab tools Basic knowledge of firewall technologies such as Fortinet Familiarity with VPN technologies and concepts CompTIA Network+ and/or CCNA certification (or currently studying towards them) Soft Skills Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Clear communication and documentation skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience 1–2 years of experience in IT support, networking, or a related role is considered an asset What We Offer Opportunity to work with experienced network and security engineers Exposure to enterprise networking and cybersecurity technologies Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Career growth opportunities within the company Smart Technologies
