Job Description

Location: Mrieħel About the Role One of our clients is seeking a Mechanical Assistant to join their team in Mrieħel. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with previous experience working with tyres or as an assistant mechanic. The successful candidate will assist with routine vehicle maintenance, safety checks and the day-to-day organisation of the workshop. Main Duties The role will include: Carrying out oil and filter changes, including draining old oil, replacing filters and refilling oil to the correct level Checking and topping up vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid and windscreen washer fluid Testing batteries, cleaning battery terminals and assisting with the installation of new batteries Carrying out visual safety checks for items such as worn wiper blades, faulty light bulbs and leaking hoses Cleaning and organising tools and ensuring equipment is returned to the correct place after use Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, organised and free from potential hazards Carrying out other duties as required to support the team Requirements Applicants should: Be a Registered Disabled Person (RDP) and have a valid RDP number Have previous hands-on experience working with tyres, or experience as an assistant mechanic Have a good understanding of workplace health and safety practices Have basic English and preferably a good command of Maltese Have the physical ability and stamina required for a hands-on role that may involve lifting Be organised and willing to contribute to keeping the workshop clean and safe Apply for this Role Interested in this opportunity?
