Location: Malta - Fully remote - Employment / B2B Contract EU - Fully Remote - B2B Contract Remote Our client, one of the fastest-growing iGaming affiliate and review platforms, is looking for a Mid/Senior Web Developer to join its lean technical team and help shape the future of its digital platform. Following the launch of a new modern platform, this is an exciting opportunity for a developer who wants real ownership, the ability to influence technical decisions, and the chance to work on a high-traffic product where performance, SEO, and user experience are critical. The Role As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the platform's frontend and backend systems, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and clean architecture. You will work closely with the Lead Developer and collaborate with SEO, content, and product teams to deliver a fast, technically excellent platform that supports organic growth and user conversion. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the platform and supporting systems Improve frontend performance, including load times, code efficiency, and page optimisation Implement technical SEO best practices to improve search visibility Work with headless CMS platforms including WordPress and Strapi Develop and maintain backend functionality and integrations Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQLite Contribute to architecture decisions, technical planning, and platform improvements Write and maintain automated tests as part of the development process Produce clear technical documentation and maintain development standards Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality product improvements Requirements 3-6+ years of experience in full-stack web development Strong JavaScript and Node.js development experience Experience working with GraphQL and API integrations Good understanding of relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or SQLite Working knowledge of WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation and technical SEO principles Experience writing and maintaining automated tests Ability to understand and contribute to system architecture and technical decisions Self-motivated and organised approach with the ability to work independently Excellent English communication skills Nice to Have PHP development experience Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront Experience using AI development tools and understanding their practical applications Good UI/UX awareness Previous experience within affiliate businesses or iGaming Understanding of SEO-driven digital products What's on Offer Competitive salary based on experience Fully remote or hybrid working options Offices available in Malta and Tallinn Opportunity to take ownership of a growing iGaming technology platform Fast-moving, flexible environment with minimal bureaucracy Direct collaboration with experienced technical professionals Opportunity to influence architecture, development practices, and product direction Boston Link
