Job Description

Purpose The Operator is an unskilled but flexible manufacturing operative role which is key to ensuring self-sufficiency manufacturing team. The role forms part of a team of operatives on one cell/line on a shift, within one of the main business units of the site. The role of the Operator is to ensure that all printing materials are available at the machine as required and that waste materials are removed when necessary. Main Area of responsibility: Safety and Security awareness towards a zero incident mentality. A Right First Time Quality approach to quality Achieve target throughputs to plan on an hourly/daily/shift/week basis [PDCA] Contribute towards achieving OEE targets and change overs to standard. Operate within SOPs Sustain Process Documentation Participate in 8 wastes reduction initiatives and Operational Excellence training/projects. Knowledge, Skill & Experience Basic Computer Literacy O level in English, Maltese and Maths Some experience in manufacturing operations Competencies Ability to assess risks and work safely Ability to work to company procedures Reliable timekeeping and attendance. Ability to work as part of a team Ability to communicate Positive attitude with a desire to develop and progress Attention to detail Awareness of QCD targets and ability to participate in achievements of targets. Continuous Improvement desire Flexibility and adaptability Ability to live by the DLR values as routine.
