Blue Whale Chinese Restaurant is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Chef – Chinese Cuisine to join our team in Malta. We are looking for a professional chef with excellent wok cooking skills and strong experience in authentic Chinese cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day service in a busy restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities: • Cook and prepare authentic Chinese cuisine using traditional wok cooking techniques Manage and supervise daily kitchen operations Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation Ensure efficient kitchen service during busy operating hours Lead, train, and support kitchen staff Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes Monitor stock control and kitchen organization Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP food safety regulations Requirements: • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chinese Chef Strong wok cooking skills are essential Extensive knowledge of authentic Chinese cuisine Ability to lead and manage a kitchen team effectively Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards Salary & Benefits: • €2,200 net monthly salary (take-home pay) Staff meals provided Accommodation assistance available Work permit support provided for the right candidate Stable long-term employment opportunity Friendly and professional working environment JobsinMalta
