Job Description

Job Title: Plumber Job Description We are seeking experienced and motivated Plumbers to join our growing team within the Building and Engineering Services sector. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing plumbing systems and related mechanical installations across various projects. Key Responsibilities Install small and large diameter plumbing pipework using various materials. Carry out PPR and HDPE fusion-weld pipework installations. Install galvanized or black steel pipework using quick coupling, Victaulic, and threaded pipe systems. Set up valves, balancing systems, and associated plumbing components. Plan pipe system layouts, installations, and repairs according to project specifications and technical drawings. Measure, locate, and mark pipe installation positions, passage holes, and fixture locations. Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes to required specifications. Inspect, test, and commission installed plumbing systems using pressure gauges and other testing methods. Fill pipes and plumbing fixtures with water or air to identify and locate leaks. Install and secure steel supports and brackets for pipework systems. Repair, replace, or remove faulty plumbing system components. Cut openings in walls, ceilings, and other structures to accommodate pipe installations. Install bathroom fixtures and fittings including toilets, wash hand basins, showers, mixers and taps, and other sanitary fittings. Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas such as basements, manholes, and facility floors. Perform pre-commissioning tests and operational checks on pumps and related equipment. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and quality standards. Requirements Previous experience in plumbing and mechanical installations within the Building Services sector. Good understanding of technical and construction drawings. Strong practical knowledge of plumbing systems and installation techniques. Professional and proactive approach to work. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
