Quality Control Technician (Casual basis)

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Technician to join our team. This position is ideally suited for tertiary-level students in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmaceutical Technology, or other related scientific disciplines who wish to deepen their knowledge of Quality Control and its associated processes within the pharmaceutical industry. It also offers exposure to a unique sector in Malta, specifically the production, importation, testing and release, and management, of Medicinal, GMP, Food Grade, and Industrial Gases. Duties & Responsabilities Perform routine Quality Control analytical testing on medicinal, food-grade and/or industrial basis, as scheduled by the Sr. Quality Technician (QC/QA) Document analysis in line with the set Quality procedures and practices, and take active part in the process of release (supporting the Quality Manger or delegate/s) Perform routine calibrations and calibration checks on analysers, as scheduled by the Sr. Quality Technician (QC/QA) and document these checks in accordance with the set Quality procedures and practices Flag and document any product or process non-conformities including: Out-of-specification results, Out-of-trend results, Deviations, Incidents and others Take active part in any investigations that are carried out to support the Quality Manager or delegate/s Keep up to date with internal Quality and company-wide set policies and procedures, and this includes attending the relevant and applicable training Carry out other tasks which include Quality Assurance related tasks Skill Experiences & Qualifications The selected candidate must be an organised and motivated individual, be computer literate, and willing to enhance their knowledge and gain the expertise required in the gas industry.
