Registered Nutritionist with a specialisation in Sports

A vacancy has arisen at the Mediterranean College of Sport (MCS) for the post of Sports Nutritionist on a part-time basis in the mornings & early afternoon. We are seeking a motivated and qualified Registered Nutritionist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutrition support to young athletes, helping to optimise their health, well-being, recovery, and sporting performance. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic sports environment and contribute to the development of aspiring athletes. Key Responsibilities Conduct individual nutritional assessments and consultations. Develop personalised nutrition plans tailored to athletes’ age, sport, training demands, and performance goals. Deliver nutrition education sessions and workshops for athletes, parents, and staff. Monitor athletes’ progress and adjust nutrition programmes as required. Provide guidance on hydration, recovery nutrition, competition-day nutrition, and healthy eating habits. Collaborate with coaches, sports scientists, medical professionals, and other support staff to ensure an integrated approach to athlete development. Support nutrition interventions for injury rehabilitation and recovery. Assist with body composition assessments and athlete monitoring programmes. Contribute to the development and implementation of nutrition policies and best practices. Stay informed of current research and developments in sports nutrition. What We're Looking For Registered Nutritionist status with the relevant professional body. Degree in Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage effectively with young athletes, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.Have a flexible approach. Able to contribute positively as part of a team, by helping out with various tasks as may be required.
