Job Description

AvailabilityContractAre you passionate about wine and enjoy creating great customer experiences?Our client, a well-established wine company with locations in Gzira and Naxxar, is looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join their friendly and dynamic team of five in Naxxar.This boutique offers a handpicked selection of wines, some crafted locally in Malta and others imported from renowned regions worldwide. If you have a natural flair for sales and a love for wine, this could be your next great opportunity.Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with wine recommendations and food pairings.
Deliver excellent customer service and build long-term relationships.
Process online orders, prepare sales invoices or receipts, and handle transactions accurately.
Keep the shop neat, organised, and inviting always.
Support the team during the busy Christmas period (8-24 December), overtime is paid.
Work 40 hours per week on a rotating shift basis (Monday-Sunday), with one full and one-half day off weekly.

Requirements

Experience in sales or hospitality (e.g. restaurant, retail, or bar environment).
Strong communication and English language skills.
A friendly, approachable personality and a professional, positive attitude.
Physically fit and able to handle stock or assist with deliveries when needed.
Valid driving licence, essential for flexibility between store locations and late shifts when public transport is limited.
Ability to multitask, stay organised, and work well within a team.
Knowledge or strong interest in wines and pairings is highly valued.
