Job Description :An established and growing Electronic Money Institution is seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Accountant to join their finance team. The company provides modern, secure, and user-friendly payment solutions to businesses and individuals across Europe and is led by seasoned professionals in the financial services space.As Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and other internal stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to a fast-paced, regulated payments environment.Key Responsibilities

• Support financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes

• Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports

• Contribute to month-end and year-end closings and financial statements

• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment runs

• Ensure adherence to IFRS and local accounting regulations

• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during reviews

• Assist in tax filings and other statutory reporting obligations

• Handle various finance-related ad hoc tasks and contribute to team projects

Requirements

• In the final stages of ACCA or already fully qualified (or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance)

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the financial services sector

• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards

• Experience in card acquiring and/or crypto is a plus, not a must

• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident working with IT systems

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Team player with strong organizational skills

• Must already have the legal right to work in Malta
