Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction and finishing projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Construction and Finishings, the Site Manager will be fully responsible for project execution, managing site operations, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This role is highly site-focused and requires a proactive leader who can solve problems on the ground, supervise site teams, and maintain a strong presence on-site to drive successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring works are executed in line with project specifications, timelines, and company standards.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and control expenditure to keep projects within financial limits.
- Develop and maintain site work schedules, sequencing tasks to ensure efficient progress and timely completion.
- Inspect and review workmanship regularly to confirm compliance with design, technical standards, and quality requirements.
- Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure that workers and subcontractors follow best practices.
- Lead and coordinate site workers, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring that roles and tasks are clearly communicated and executed.
- Act as the main point of contact on-site, liaising with the Head of Construction and Finishings, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and unexpected challenges promptly to prevent project delays.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, attendance sheets, safety checklists, and incident reports.
- Ensure all site works comply with local regulations, permits, and industry standards.
- Oversee site setup, access control, storage, waste management, and coordination of deliveries to maintain smooth operations.
- Track project progress against milestones, adjusting resources and schedules as required to meet deadlines.
- Provide updates to clients as needed, addressing any concerns related to timelines, quality, or scope.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by top management
- Attend relevant training and workshops to enhance your knowledge
- Strong leadership with the ability to direct and motivate site teams.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, site methods, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with workers, subcontractors, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.
- Competence in basic digital tools (emails, reports); project management software knowledge will be considered an asset.
- A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role on construction projects.
- Health and Safety certifications or training will be considered a strong asset.
- Driving licence required to attend sites as needed.
