Senior Procurement Executive – AB10670

Job Description

Our Client is a large building contractor undertaking a range of high profile projects throughout Malta.Due to ongoing project awards and expansion of the team, a senior procurement professional is now required to source materials and subcontractors; negotiate best prices and work closely with site teams to ensure mobilisation and timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.Responsibilities include:

• Sourcing materials, equipment and services whilst ensuring best possible quality, lead time and cost.
• Supporting tenders by preparing procurement packages, and evaluating quotations
• Negotiating rates to ensure competitive pricing
• Coordinating with site / project managers to ensure materials are mobilised in best possible time
• Conducting regular site visits to evaluate subcontractor and material delivery performance
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with project goals
• Assisting with logistics whilst resolving any issues with delivery schedules etc
• Remaining compliant with company policies, safety regulations, and legal standards in all procurement activities.
• Improving procurement procedures where possible

Talent will:

• Ideally have a construction background with a minimum of 2 years procurement experience
• Have strong communication skills in Maltese and English
• Be excellent organisers with extensive planning, problem solving and time management skills
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
