Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a Shipping Operations Coordinator to join their growing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the chosen candidate will :

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily international transport operations.
• Assign and communicate with drivers, clients, freight forwarders, and partners.
• Monitor routing, track shipments, and ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate transport documentation and records in relevant systems.
• Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, driver compliance, and required certifications
• Address and resolve transportation issues and urgent operational matters swiftly.
• Ensure adherence to international transport regulations, including customs compliance.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, customer service) for seamless logistics.

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Flexible, hands-on, and proactive approach
• Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure
• Must be able to work office based

Education and Experience

• Proven experience in trailer operations is a must
• Basic knowledge of Italian is required
• Must be proficient in both Maltese and English, both written and verbal
