Job Description

We are looking for a fully or partially qualified Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and advisory support. The role involves bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, tax compliance and reconciliations.ABOUT OUR CLIENTOur client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax, audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned client portfolios.

• Support with reconciliations.

• Help prepare VAT returns and assist in the submission of statutory documentation.

• Maintain proper filing systems and accurate records.

• Collaborate with team members to meet internal deadlines and client deliverables.

• Contribute to ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in client accounting, preferably in a professional services firm.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Fluency in Maltese and English (written and spoken).

• Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, client-focused, ability to manage deadlines, and a professional, team-oriented attitude.

EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; ACCA qualified or in the final stages.WORKING TIMEFlexibility in starting time, from 08:00 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace. Fridays till 15:00.SALARY AND BENEFITS
