Job Title: Mechanical Technician Job Location: Malta Job Description We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Technician to join our engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems across various client sites and workshop environments. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment at client premises, project sites, and workshop facilities. Install, test, and commission various mechanical systems and equipment, including air compressors, high-pressure cleaners, forklift trucks, marine engines, and other industrial and mechanical equipment. Dismantle, inspect, repair, and overhaul mechanical plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, and associated machinery. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in equipment and systems. Perform programming adjustments, calibration, and configuration of mechanical equipment where required. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities. Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and technical documentation. Assist in identifying opportunities for equipment improvements and performance optimization. Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards at all times. Requirements Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment at component level. Knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, compressors, engines, and industrial equipment. Familiarity with microprocessor-based controllers used in domestic and industrial applications. Basic understanding of electrical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Good organizational and documentation skills. Strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and develop technical skills. Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, servicing, or engineering-related roles will be considered an advantage.
