Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (Gozo)

Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join their team, working primarily on construction and civil engineering projects in Gozo. This role involves a mix of on-site and office-based responsibilities, supporting project execution, compliance, and technical operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings and communicate details clearly to site workers
• Monitor and ensure site works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
• Prepare contractor's drawings and as-built documentation
• Compile traffic management plans and method statements
• Develop and maintain project programmes, including Gantt charts
• Ensure compliance with project instructions, timelines, and quality standards
• Measure on-site works for quantity surveying purposes
• Prepare bills of quantities for completed works
• Support general project coordination and documentation tasks
• Assist in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant, equipment, and machinery owned by the company
• Provide technical support to ensure operational efficiency of machinery and equipment

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience within construction and/or civil engineering projects is preferred
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and site operations
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work primarily on-site, with some office-based duties
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
