Tax Senior

Job Description

Our client, a leading professional services firm, is currently seeking to recruit a Tax Senior to join its growing tax team. The selected candidate will benefit from exposure to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, while working in a collaborative environment that supports continuous learning, professional development, and career progression.Responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing company tax returns and tax computations.
• Preparing and reviewing tax refund claims and shareholder registration forms.
• Processing tax-related documentation, including double tax relief certificates, tax compliance certificates, and tax residence certificates.
• Preparing FATCA, CRS, and other DAC-related filings.
• Assisting in tax planning exercises and preparing tax estimates, including for more complex client structures.
• Supporting in advising clients on Maltese tax implications and international tax developments.
• Liaising with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on technical matters and interpretations.
• Assisting with tax due diligence assignments.
• Supporting business development initiatives within the tax function.
• Assisting in the preparation of technical publications and client materials.
• Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the role.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in tax.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or fully ACCA-qualified (or in the final stages of completion).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Fluency in English.
