Our client is a licensed Electronic Money Institution dedicated to providing businesses and individuals with seamless payment solutions.About the Role
As an Accountant, you will manage financial operations for the brand’s entities, ensuring accuracy in transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting. You will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities

• Assist with corporate finance activities, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports in compliance with standards
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of financial statements
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and financial regulations
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment runs
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors
• Assist in tax filings and other statutory requirements
• Perform other finance-related tasks as needed

Requirements

• Later-stage ACCA or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, University of Malta degree, or equivalent)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience in financial services, especially card acquiring or crypto, is a plus
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong numerical and Microsoft Excel skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Team player, flexible, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Conversant with IT systems
• Legal right to work in Malta (valid work permit or residency)
